Leonard B. (Ben) Alexander (1952 - 2015)

Sent from Windows Mail, 1/9/15

This is L.E. Carroll, I was a radarman aboard the Waddell from '71 to '73 and served with Ben Alexander who is a good friend and was part of a Commodore's Staff during the '71-'72cruise. I think he ended up in Dispersing while assigned to the Waddell, as a Dispersing Clerk and was active in the Waddell Association to date ?

I just spoke with his wife Sherri and was informed that he passed away last night due to a massive heart attack.. he was 62 years of age.

Both Ben and I recently retired from BNSF Railroad, me in '07 as a carman/welder, and Ben on 31 October 2014, as a conductor. We worked out of Havre, MT

Ben will be cremated and interned at the National cemetery in Helena, MT, not sure quite when at this time. A memorial service will be held at a future date, yet to be determined.

Ben is survived by his wife Sherri, daughter Ruth Rose, and his two son’s Matt and Luke.

At his time Sherri asks that those wishing to contact her or family go thru me at 360-263-7974 as she has no computer access.
